Mild temperature spots in mid Winter are becoming ever more frequent of late and the time to hit the banks ready for twilight for some good fast results. With a touch or pre work choosing my spots to fish over the week and pre baiting a few hours before dusk with hemp and Small Elips soaked in Fish Pro. Whilst the waters are relatively low for the time of year and pretty gin clear.
I decided this was going to be my approach. I fished different parts of the mid Dorset Stour at Throop, West Parley and Longham flipping between Rami & Big Cheese Hook Baits on a running ledger rig with size 10 hook. With a pva bag of free goodies and the same flavour pastes on to top it off. This approach resulted in fish caught every session, a handful of 6lb plus chub with the biggest coming in at 6lb 10oz.
