Trout pellets are a major part of modern day angler’s armoury. Whether it be carp, barbel, tench and pellets will take some beating in terms of success.  The make up of the Hinders range of pellets includes high levels of protein fishmeal and oil which are both known fish attractors.

Hi Performance Pellet

Our renowned 3mm Hi Betaines Pellets came on the market in the 1990’s revolutionised the way pellets were used in the carp fishing scene.  These pellets break down rapidly and can be used in a multitude of ways. From mixing with other particles (particularly hemp) to loose feeding little and often, to mixing with lake water to form a stiff groundbait for method fishing, these pellets offer a huge number of alternatives.

The larger pellets in the range e.g. Large Elips Pellets and Mega Betaine Pellets can be carefully drilled with a nut drill so it can be fished on a hair rig. This is a great method for catching chub and barbel, particularly when feeding small pellets and hemp.  The Elips Pellets in particular have been used with great success in the barbel arena with many large captures falling to it.

As of 2005 we hold a range of 11 different types of trout pellets.  The correct balance of dietary nutrients coupled with high palatability is paramount when formulating a pellet feed and we are confident that we can supply a pellet for any angling situation.  Our new pellets this year include the Mini and Midi Shrimp Pellets that are great loose feed with the highest quality organic ingredients ensuring an instant attraction even in the slower winter months.  We have also introduced the Bad Buoy Floating Pellets that are totally unique as a floating pellet, try these and you will see a slow breakdown with the pellet ‘flaking off’ fantastic for use in the summer months.

It is not just our own pellets that we are able to offer.  The increase in popularity of flavoured pellets manufactured by top bait companies such as Mainline and Richworth have provided an excellent alternative to using boilies.  The Mainline Range is particular has been used to devastating success by anglers using the attractors and flavours used in the popular Fusion, Activ 8, Maple 8 and Pro Activ Pineapple to complement the boilies and dips in the same flavours. It really is worth experimenting with these pellets as some will break down more rapidly than others we would recommend that you use mixtures, so that there is a rapid release of flavour, but with some bait left in the swim. If you are fishing at short range, then feeding a few pellets every couple of minutes is an excellent way of building up a swim.
