The key element with this is that it is easier to tie stiff rigs with. It is not only easier to tie but shaping a finished rig (imparting a curve for example) is much easier than with other materials. It doesn’t need steaming either!  Finished with a nice natural ‘carpy’ tint that will blend in with any background and in 3 key breaking strains.
